THE WEEKEND

We have a fabulous line-up of instructors for you. The weekend is all about learning and progressing without the pressure of competitions.

Our mission is to offer the BEST value for money West Coast Swing weekends, bringing together HIGH CALIBRE instructors to teach and perform at them… And we’re putting together another stupendous line up of instructors for you!

A whole weekend of superb workshops, social dancing and pro-shows – it’s a learning and social weekend so NO competitions, just fun whilst you learn!

The workshops aim to cover all skill levels from the inexperienced to the more advanced. This makes UK Westie Bootcamp the perfect weekend to improve your dancing.

No matter what level you come in at, you’re sure to enjoy this entertaining weekend of social dancing, in-depth workshops and hints and tips from the pros’ of West Coast Swing. It’s set to be an exciting and fun event with the emphasis on ‘enjoyment‘, designed to build your confidence, improve your dancing and provide a lovely, relaxed place to do it in.

The Venue is magnificent, standing in 40 acres of stunning grounds. It’s close to Heathrow (6 miles), so friends from the Continent have easy access and there are plenty of free parking for our attendees.

October Schedule

These especially planned Levels offer a unique opportunity to experience the highest level of instruction with a friendly and supportive group of a similar skill level. You will be expected to stay in the same Level throughout the weekend which will help to progress your social dancing.

We want EVERYONE to enjoy and get the most out of the classes at Westie Bootcamp this weekend. This means being realistic and ONLY attending classes that are appropriate to your knowledge and current level of WCS experience. PLEASE respect this, be fair to your fellow dancers and remember, if you are struggling in a class, you will probably NOT be in the right level for you. Your instructors will be monitoring and have the authority to recommend a lower level to an attendee if they feel it is necessary.

West Coast Swing Classes will run throughout the weekend and a programme, check-in details and any other information you need will be emailed 7-10 days prior to the start of the Bootcamp.

WCS Level 1 – Newcomer
WCS Level 2 – Novice
WCS Level 3 – Novice/Intermediate
WCS Level 4 – Intermediate
WCS Level 5 – Intermediate/Advanced

These progressive classes are for dancers who are relatively new to WCS. You are working on your basics and want to better understand the fundamentals of the dance.

You are now very familiar with your basics. Attend classes and workshops on a regular basis, and social dance frequently. You now feel confident dancing basic patterns, want more variety by learning new moves, and to be able to play more on the dance floor.

If you start off in this level but find it too challenging or feel the need to work on your basics, please go back to Newcomer.

You have now been dancing, learning, and perhaps even competing for quite some time now. Social dancing at every opportunity, you will probably attend WCS weekend events in the UK and abroad. Your knowledge of the dance is now at a higher level and you can distinguish when technique is perhaps lacking. You want to enhance your individual skills within your dance partnerships.

If you are having trouble keeping up with a class, please be fair to others in this level and drop down to the Novice level.

These are fast paced classes for those close to moving up to or are already at this level. You have comfortably participated at this level for some years now, and probably attend and compete at events in the UK and internationally.

If you are having trouble keeping up with a class, please be fair to others in this level and drop down to the Intermediate level.

We are very proud to bring for you this fabulous opportunity of an Intensive with Maxence & Virginie. During your time with them they will take you on a journey that will greatly enhance your west coast swing dancing.

This intensive is not suitable for beginners and participants must not only have a very firm grasp of the fundamentals of West Coast Swing, but you will also have gained experience through regular social dancing at WCS events and be accustomed to faster paced, higher level instruction.

All prices are per person for 3 nights hotel accommodation, breakfast, classes and social dancing. No day passes will be sold.

A £50 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. For bookings made 12 weeks OR less before the event date, full payment is required. Please read Jive Addictions terms and conditions on the booking form.

Failure to pay the balance due by the due date, may render your booking as cancelled without further reference to you. If you wish to sell on your booking to a third party, you MUST inform us in the first instance please, and tell us the new name. You cannot sell/transfer a booking unless full payment has been made.
